Officially Doctors....almost: Part 2

As a follow up to Jamie and Kate's post on their clinic hours, you know it was only a matter of time before Nadia and Christine posted their clinic hours, special focuses, and interests.  We won't go through all of the details of the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic again, but if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Here are some frequently asked questions:

  • Where is the RSNC? It is located in North York, at the intersection of Leslie and Sheppard.
  • How do I get there? The school and clinic are just minutes from the 401 and also right off of the Leslie station via TTC.
  • How much does it cost per appointment?  Adults ($39.50), Students with valid ID ($15), Seniors (over 65; $29.50) and children (under 18; $29.50).  There are also multi-visit packages available that will save you some money. Click here for more information.
  • Is it covered by health insurance plans?  Many companies and post-secondary institutions do offer coverage for naturopathic medicine visits.  Find out more from your personal plan and take advantage of this!
  • How do I book an appointment? Call 416-498-9763 to book an appointment, or contact us directly and we can assist you!
Christine is excited to start utilizing the things she has learned over the past few years!  In addition to her regular shifts at the RSNC, she will be a member of the Sports Medicine Group, which is supervised by naturopathic doctors that focus on sports medicine in their practice.  The supervisors have experience working with everyone from the weekend warrior to the elite athlete.  This shift also participates in sporting events by providing free on-site care to participants.  Modalities and techniques used to both treat and prevent injuries in the sports medicine shift include: nutrition, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, soft tissue manipulation, active stretching, and more.

Here are Christine's hours starting May 9th, 2012:
Monday: 2:45pm - 7pm (Sports Medicine Group)
Tuesday: 8:45am - 1pm
Thursday: 2:45pm - 7pm
Friday: 8:45am - 1pm

Nadia is also pumped to start booking appointments and seeing patients! She has a special interest in mental and emotional counselling.  Her shift supervisors have a wide range of specialties that include energetic medicine, developmental disorders in children, physical manipulation, as well as the rest of the wonderful naturopathic repertoire. Also, something that not many people are aware of is that naturopathic doctors are fully trained as primary practitioners to perform full physical exams. This includes prostate and gynecological exams.   Oh, and did we mention we have training in massage therapy from RMT's?  So, whether you have a specific health condition that needs tending to or you're just looking for a general tune up, come book an appointment with the clinic.

Here are Nadia's hours starting May 9th, 2012:
Tuesday: 2:45pm - 7pm
Wednesday: 10:45am - 3pm
Thursday: 2:45pm - 7pm
Friday: 2:45pm - 7pm

All the best,
Nadia and Christine
