Recipe: Final Fall Treat

Sadly, fall is almost over and with the holiday season quickly approaching (only 21 more sleeps till Santa!) everyone's mind is on holiday delights. I can never seem to get enough of the taste of autumn so as we say goodbye to fall and hello to winter, I leave you with one final fall inspired recipe: Pumpkin Pie smoothie. I know it may seem a little strange at first but it basically tastes like a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino from Starbucks without all the sugar, fat and chemicals. This smoothie is chock full of nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B6, fiber and protein. Give it a try and let me know what you think - it has become my new favorite smoothie!

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 3/4-1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 scoop protein powder (ideally unflavored or vanilla)
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 2 drops organic vanilla extract
  • 2 ice cubes 


Blend until smooth and enjoy!
